What is Black Cat Ko? Where are we going with this?

Even with large chain thrift stores, there is a ton of second-hand items ending up in landfills all over the world. About 40 million tons actually… So why not turn this ‘trash’ into a resource!

Mental healthcare is a stigmatized, underfunded, yet CRITICAL part of our healthcare system. We want to use Black Cat Ko. as a platform to normalize conversations surrounding mental health and create resources that support and benefit our communities.

To be able to meet those goals, we need funds! And that is where the thrift store component comes in. by selling pre-loved items, we provide customers with affordable clothing options and work towards funding our dream!

And gosh darn, if we happen to also be doing some great things for the earth along the way, then we’re willing to make that sacrifice. WE WOULD DO ANYTHING FOR YOU <3

We have lots of exciting projects in store and we would like you to be a part of it! By supporting us, you are supporting communities all around Montreal!

Right now, BCK is in its infancy. To get to where we want to be will take time and hard work. We are working to establish our place in the community; build connections and clientele; and form a strong foundation to ensure the success of our future projects.

Below, you will find a rough blue print of our plans, goals and ideas. These will become more developed overtime and we will announced when an official business plan is established and available for viewing.

I’m so excited to start this journey with you all!

  • Use the current platform to “crowdfund” for our long-term goals.
  • Use our platform to promote sustainability and well-being.
